The 6-day intensive course for conductors offers participants lessons accompanied by two experienced pianists, gives students the opportunity to work with a professional symphony orchestra as well as receiving analysing feedback from the tutor about recorded video. The culmination of the master class is the public final concert which is professionally video/audio recorded.
The masterclass is suitable for advanced conducting students and professional conductors.
Qualified candidates will be selected gradually until the application deadline, early applying candidates have more chances to participate in the masterclass.
The application deadline is on the 1st of October.

Less experienced conductors can take part in the masterclass as Semi-active participants.
The Certificate of participation will be provided for all Participants who have completed the masterclass for conductors.
There is no age limit for participation.

Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 36,
Sergei Prokofiev: Symphony No. 1 in D major, op.25 "Classical Symphony"
Franz Schubert: Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, D. 485
Ludwig van Beethoven: Coriolan, Overture Op. 62
Gioacchino Rossini: L'Italiana in Algeri, Overture

Please, select 3 musical works from this repertoire you are interested to study. Conductors are expected to purchase and study their scores before the start of the masterclass. It is important that you prepare them as much as possible to gain the maximum benefits from the masterclass.

Each Active participant will be entitled to:
90 minutes of podium time conducting the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice icon link
60 minutes of podium time in four hand piano sessions
• attending all meetings, classes and rehearsals, recording session
• each Active participant will conduct a Dress rehearsal and the Final concert
Each Semi-active participant will be entitled to:
90 minutes of podium time in four hand piano sessions
• attending all meetings, classes, rehearsals
• possible time with the orchestra

Concert

The public concert will be held on 1st of December 2023 at 7 pm in the City Concert Hall, Pardubice
The concert program will be divided among participants.

Location

The course will take place in Pardubice icon link, Czech Republic. The town is located 95 km from Prague.

Accommodation

Accommodation costs must be covered by each participant of the masterclass for conductors. You can stay in any other hotel.
We recommend accommodation in the pension Zelena Zaba with the price from 1120 czk per night with breakfast single occupation in a double room. The restaurant in this hotel works daily. Payment directly at the hotel.

Language

The masterclass will be taught in English.
Nevertheless, Maestro Olivieri-Munroe can speak also German, Italien, and Czech.

Recording

Video recording of orchestra rehearsals and the concert is included in the price.
All sessions with the orchestra and the concert will be video recorded and each conductor will receive his/her videos via Internet.

Masterclass fees

Active participant fee is € 1900. Active participant fee includes:
- conducting the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice (90 minutes)
- individual lessons with Maestro Olivieri-Munroet | * 60 minutes of podium time in four-hands piano sessions;
- participation in all meetings, classes, rehearsals;
- the final concert;
- recorded orchestra rehearsals and the final concert.

Semi-active participant fee is € 600
Semi-active participant fee includes:
- 90 minutes of podium time in four hand piano sessions
- listening all the meetings, classes, rehearsals and the final concert

Daily Visitors' (passive participation) fee is € 40
There is no registration/application fee.

Payment schedule
- 25 % of the participant fee has to be paid upon the organizers` confirmation of your participation;
- the rest of the fee has to be paid via bank transfer 30 days before the masterclass starts at the latest.
The deposit is 100% refundable only in case of cancellation or postponing of the masterclass by the organizer.

The Certificate of participation will be provided for all Participants who have completed the masterclass for conductors.
