Maestro Lior Shambadal is the Principal conductor of the Berliner Symphoniker (since 1997), he was the principal conductor of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá in Columbia, Haifa Symphony Orchestra. His extensive concert activity links him with orchestras across the world, from Russia to Latin America, from Europato Israel. Maestro gives master classes for conductors in Germany, Canada, Italy and other countries, in which the participants learn critical aspects of conducting, studying the score, musical analysis and conducting technique.
In a hot summer of 1860, one of the most eminent composers of Romantic music was born on the Czech grounds: Gustav Mahler.
It was about 23 years later when a young conductor, at the beginning of his later incredibly radiant career, arrived to Olomouc. He conducted at the time in a theater, which today we find under the name of Moravian theater. This is also the reason, among many others, why Olomouc is a highly demanded city for visits in the interest of acquiring musical education.
With the repertoire of the forever glorified Mahler's Symphony No.5, this International Conducting Workshop is offering you an intensive and professionally scheduled program with the extraordinarily skilled professional orchestra under the lead of world-wide distinguished, greatly knowledgeable Maestro Lior Shambadal, and therefore a highly secured acquisition of valuable conducting experiences.
